I'm traveling and will not post for some time.
The situation is ominous, at best. The more one knows of the Middle East, the less one hopes for peace. It is, in my impression, ready to blow. Lebanon, Gaza, Iraq, Syria, and the West Bank are all in chaos and threaten to turn all to dust. The 4,073 dead U.S. troops in Iraq have been sacrificed by our current administration. Our policy in Iraq has succeeded in only one way. This occupation has given all combatants a convenient, common enemy, United States soldiers. There is no winning in the Middle East. All loose. Many die.
I see no light; only darkness and death. It appears that the neo-cons have been given their wish. Iran will soon be added to the blood bath. Our brave soldiers should not be involved.
Bring our troops home!
I hope for Peace. I fear for more war.
