"Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear." Dave Barry
Good morning, friends. I know that a number of you write. A poem or a short story would be nice to share. Write your novel if you wish. I also know that a number of you are artists. Would you be willing to share your art with us? As stated before, I wish this blog to be more of a meeting place for friends. Just as with Friday afternoons at my place, I only own the clubhouse. It should be peopled with talented, intelligent, creative and funny creatures such as yourselves. Please feel free to get on the soapbox. You also must realize that I will not critisize or laugh at any comments made here. Yeah, right.
Love and Peace,
Rev O

woof woof...
ok, i'll bite.
here's a lyric for your blog:
maybe
here in little town
station... waiting for a train.
with all these people rushing ‘round...
starting out their day.
goin’ lots of places.
desperate to win.
caught inside a maze.
searching for a door.
they can never shed their skin.
everywhere they go...
that’s the world they’re in.
maybe you just open your eyes...
you could see it...
growing stronger
maybe you just turn off the tv...
you could hear it...
the distant thunder
baby listen to the faint sound
on the wind.
i see it in your eyes...
there, your innocent smile.
you don’t mind another go...
just don’t cramp your style.
the days and nights can wear
on you... time can be unkind.
and all the while a question rings...
burning in your mind.
what’s it gonna take for you
to find... true happiness...
not the desperate kind?
maybe you just open your eyes...
you could see it...
growing stronger
maybe you just turn off the tv...
you could hear it...
the distant thunder
baby listen to the faint sound
on the wind.
so... all these crazy dreams,
they haunt you... haunt you, yea!
laughter... easy living haunt you...
haunt you, yea!
tender kindness, no boundaries...
haunt you, yea!
give your soul...
cross the coals...
then morning
here in littleton station...
a big town ticket please.
the sunset’s casting colors...
brilliant through the peaks.
just like the day...
life comes and goes.
why not take a hard look at
forces that control?
why not learn to let them fade
and go? and wake up to the real
thing that you've always known?
maybe you just open your eyes...
you could see it...
growing stronger
maybe you just turn off the tv...
you could hear it...
the distant thunder
baby listen to the faint sound
on the wind.
Thank you. Very, very nice!
Rev O
